In this video, I make a custom handcrafted Balisong (more commonly known as a "Butterfly Knife") out of a piece of an old antique 5' ice saw using the stock removal method of knife making. The scales are made from Micarta. I use just very basic tools with my grinds, pinstripe art and holes all done freehand. Despite popular belief, and from my understanding where I'm from, this knife is perfectly legal AS LONG AS the means of opening said knife are achieved MANUALLY, without the use of gravity or centrifugal force, as you will see here in my design. I'm not a full-time youtuber, but I will definitely be trying to upload more videos on a more frequent basis going into the new year, especially on bladesmithing as I feel my skills have progressed quite a bit and I can share more information on the topic.
