While we are not able to come together in traditional congregational prayer this Eid al-Adha, we will be keeping the spirit alive by Ed'ing while driving!

The drive-through celebration marking this much different holy festival at MCC will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 31.

All are welcome to be part of this contactless motorcade where we will experience joy and happiness from a distance insha'Allah.

Getting Ready for Eid Celebration Checklist:

- To prevent a backlog spilling out onto the main street in front MCC, please RSVP to tell us which 30-minute slot you are coming. Let us know at http://mcceastbay.org/eid
- Optionally, decorate your car the day before or Eid morning.
Pray Eid at home (see guide at https://mcceastbay.org/eid-prayer-at-...) or just gather with your family.
- Before leaving home, put food items for the MCC Pantry into your car's trunk. Here are food items needed: https://mcceastbay.org/pantry-donations)
- Listen to the Takbeerat loop (http://mcceastbay.org/takbir) on the way to MCC

Joining the Drive-Thru Celebration:

- Enter the motorcade through the West parking lot (the first entrance into MCC).
- Honk for Eid on your first stop at the Kaaba and Arafat display with the sounds of Hajj labbaik playing in the background. Remember not leave your vehicle. Here photographers will snap photos of your family in your vehicle (later downloadable on the MCC Facebook page). If you've decorated your vehicle, we will be also be snapping photos of your car here (later to be voted on by our judges for top three prizes).
- Food pantry collection is your next stop. Pop open your trunk and a volunteer will remove your donated food items for the MCC pantry. If you wish to make a cash, check, or credit card donation to support the Pantry, drive on!
- Goody bag and familiar faces will be waiting for you at the next stop and volunteers will safely hand goodie bags to your children.
Sadaqa station is your next stop if you would like to put a donation in to support Zakat or Sadaqa funds supporting families struggling during the COVID emergency.

This drive-thru is one of the ways we are making this holiday special in a year when everything changed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The MCC is a special needs friendly mosque. Special needs families, please come from 11:30 a.m. to noon (no RSVP necessary). If you wish to come earlier or if you need any accommodation, let our special needs coordinators know at [email protected]
