The new Mac Pro has been released to the fanfare of its pro users who have been starved of a decent workstation option for years. While many argue about the value proposition and the preposterously high $5,999 starting price point, nobody is arguing about the added value of good 'ol—tried and true—PCIe slots. Will an PCIe NVMe SSD work inside of Mac Pro? What about a 4K Capture Card to use in Blackmagic's Davinci Resolve or OBS for streaming? Or, how about a USB expansion card to add to the relatively scant I/O? Perhaps a replacement GPU from NVIDIA would work for gaming on a Mac?
