Ebikes are fun and easy to ride, but there are a few things to know in order to prepare for your first electric bike ride. First, when mounting and dismounting your ebike, turn the motor off. This will ensure a completely safe experience when mounting and dismounting your electric bike. Second, when you start our on your first ebike ride keep your pedal assist level low. Begin your ride in an assistance level below level three. This will ensure a safe first ride as you get used to having the assistance when you pedal. Third, your first time using the throttle don't push the throttle all the way down. Ease in to using the throttle and gradually push the throttle down. It's like a gas pedal on a car, gradually press the gas pedal. Bonus tip, on your first rides stay close to home as you get familiar with your battery. You'll start to figure out the range of the battery you don't want to be too far from home. So find a route that keeps you close to home but enables you to still long miles on your ebike. As you begin to understand the range you can get from your ebike, you can venture out further.
