Unlike your favourite TV dramas and sitcoms, reality shows usually go on forever. Pawn Stars is one of the prime examples. When we’ve seen it for the first time back in 2009, this series about four guys running a pawn shop felt like a breath of fresh air. History Channel quickly realized they have a hit on their hands and letting go of it wasn’t an option. Pawn Stars became the highest rated show this network ever produced, but they decided that wasn’t enough. History found a way to profit from their biggest success story and came up with spin-offs American Restoration, Cajun Pawn Stars, Counting Cars and game show Pawnography. After watching same drama unravel season after season, some of the fans slowly started skipping episodes of their favourite show, but how did it come to that? Let’s take a look at the day the Pawn Stars died.
