This tutorial goes over the basics of hooking up LEDs successfully even if you have no electronics experience. To make things easy, I provided a cheat sheet for the LED, resistor and battery combinations. I also go over how to simply (no kidding!) calculate the resistor value for any low power LED so they work well and have a long life.
