In this Covid Grand Rounds, we’ll summarize the explosion of new information about the Omicron variant and put it into context. The session will begin with an update on Omicron, including its infectivity, capacity for immune escape, and severity, given by Carlos del Rio of Emory. This talk will be followed by a panel discussion with del Rio, Rachel Bystritsky of UCSF, and Paul Sax of Harvard/Brigham & Women’s, in which we explore the implications of Omicron, as well as the current Delta surge, for the holiday season and the pandemic in 2022. The session will be moderated by Bob Wachter.

Note: Closed captions will be available within 48-72 hours after posting.
