He didn't mention it post-accident in Melbourne, but Mercedes' George Russell has now revealed that he was busy adjusting his steering wheel settings when Aston's Fernando Alonso was deciding to brake a little early for Turn 6 in Melbourne on the penultimate lap of the race. As a result, George failed to slow in concert with Fernando - or perhaps to move to the inside and force the advantage. Instead, when he looked up from the steering wheel switches, he suddenly found himself about to ram the green car. In this video, Peter Windsor talks about toggling the steering wheel taking precedence over the view of the road in front; about whether there's too much technology being offered to the drivers; and about the difference between George's statements in Melbourne and his reflections two weeks later.
