I recently made a video, link below, about "Ford 3.5L Ecoboost Cam Phaser Rattle/ The noise, The cause, The fix". This video has gotten many views so naturally a lot of questions were asked. I made this video in response to those questions and I also made this video in light of new experiences that I have had with this particular failure with the Ford 3.5L Ecoboost. One great question I've gotten often is, "can just ignoring the rattle and not getting it fixed cause severe engine damage?". I've also gotten questions about, "work arounds", or alternatives to replacing the cam phasers. And I have also gotten comments stating that by just putting the vehicle in "clear flood mode" you can avoid the noise and drive the vehicle indefinitely. In this video I give my take on these issues....

Here is a great video by Ford Boss Me explaining an alternative means of fixing this cam phaser rattle:    • 3.5L Ecoboost Cold Start Rattle Solve...

Note: I may have misspoken when I said that these pre oiler systems keep the oil pressure from diminishing. I believe that they just prime the system before start up. Here is a link to Master Lubes website: http://www.masterlube.net/home.htm

Here is a link to the video I made concerning the "rattle upon start up". I go into detail of how these phasers fail and even take the phasers apart :    • Ford 3.5L Ecoboost Cam Phaser Rattle/...
