With #Toyota basically being the pioneer of mass-produced hybrid technology vehicles, it comes as no surprise to find out that they have one of the most diverse hybrid lineups currently available to American consumers.

Surprisingly, despite the growing popularity of Hybrid vehicles, Toyota's Prius has been seeing major sales declines over the past 5 years. Why?

Well... My theory is because of the diverse lineup that Toyota currently has available. Look back to over 10 years ago or to just 5 years ago, and you'd notice that Toyota's lineup wasn't this diverse. Now, Toyota has 6 models (and counting) with available hybrid powertrains.

Take, for example, the all-new Toyota Corolla Hybrid! This vehicle is now the most inexpensive new Toyota hybrid vehicle. Therefore, those who don't want to splurge, but just want a fuel-efficient commuter might favor the more subtle and equally impressive fuel-economy that the Corolla Hybrid boasts.

Of course, Toyota offers hybrid Crossover/SUVs for those that want additional practicality. Toyota currently offers the RAV4 Hybrid and the Highlander Hybrid (hopefully Toyota considers introducing a CH-R #Hybrid soon). What do you think?

Maybe the styling of the current generation Prius is too radical for the average hybrid buyer. Or maybe buyers are just drifting away from Toyota and expanding their horizons to look at the many other GREAT offerings currently out.

Thanks to hybrid technology becoming more affordable to produce, the pricing gap between gasoline and hybrid vehicles is slowly closing. Which of course is resulting in more and more manufacturers jumping on to the "Hybrid-Vehicle-Bandwagon".

So, is Toyota's current 2020 hybrid lineup impressive enough? And ultimately will it send more consumers flooding into Toyota dealers, or will it leave consumers looking elsewhere? Watch this detailed preview from the 29th Fort Lauderdale International Auto Show (#2020FLIAS) to find out!
