I get the question all the time, "Jordan what do I need to buy first? Where do I start??" Well, this is the step that sort of answers your question. I say "sort of" because, for step one you don't need to buy anything at all! If you do this step you will have a much better idea on what to buy and how to set up your own budget. Our budget is so personal to us, the needs change and are different for every family. This is how I back tracked and set up my budget using spending in January. This video isn't perfect (I was a little short on time and was in a rush to pick up the boys) but it's a great starting point and will be handy as I track future spending and continue to tweak my budget and my categories.
