Czech mid-size SUV may be cheap and cheerful, but it’s also a great vehicle 👉 Full Review: https://www.carsales.com.au/editorial...
The Skoda Karoq hasn’t captured the imagination of Aussie mid-size SUV buyers like its more expensive German cousin, the Volkswagen Tiguan.
But this new cut-price entry variant from the Czech brand aims to change that with a $39,990 drive-away price tag, positioning it within striking distance of many cheaper Japanese, Chinese and Indian rivals.
It may be missing a few creature comforts and doesn’t look particularly modern, but it has an excellent warranty and reasonable service costs, not to mention a nicely sorted chassis that makes it fun to drive.
Senior editor Feann Torr dives in to see whether the 2024 Skoda Karoq is a genuine contender or just a stripped-out pretender.
