A rock, even a small one, thrown into a lake causes ripples that affect the entire surface of that lake. The same is true in life. One person can make a difference, especially when God's hand is upon him or her.

A perfect example is this story, which started in tragedy, but because of the Spirit of God upon one man's life, inspired his nephew's life with love and devotion to God. This ripple effect turned into one of the greatest legends of all time, known throughout the world.

While many of us know him as Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas was a real person who gave the gift of help to others. He knew that God gave His only Son to become human and help us, even unto death to save us from our sin...so, Nicholas knew he had to follow His example, to do what he could to help others with what he was given.

Not only in December, but every day of every year...WE can be the difference in someone's life! So, I may not have a million dollars, but I do have a smile, a kind gesture, a positive action or word to share with others, which might make a difference in their life!
