UPDATE March 28, 2024. LG has confirmed again that repairing ANY LG gram laptop costs $500 PLUS TAX. It does not matter whether it is a tiny thing, or the motherboard, it's THE SAME. That is the flat rate they apply for sending the device, repairing it, paying the technician. It's always, at least, $500 plus tax. It is crazy. And they even told me it's a deal because afterwards you have another 3 months of warranty. They also say that these laptops do need to get repaired a lot, so during those 3 months you are entitled to another repair. But oh, if it's more than 3 months, you have to pay yet again $500. It's ridiculous. Plus, they say in their website that you can upgrade the storage (another aditional Tb, for example, since there is another slot for that), but if you do (if you or someone else opens the device) you void the warranty, so yeah, you can either wait one year until there is no more warranty or you void it. It's ridiculous and shameful.


I know for a fact firms go to great lenghts to promote and protect themselves and they hire online PR companies to praise their products and crush their competitors. I once had a friend who worked doing that (which he was not supposed to say) so, yeah, always think that any review or opinion on the web can be fake, even mine!!! But you see, mine isn't. I am totally pissed off by the $500 "flat rate" they charge for any repair. But that's not all, let me tell you what I've learned after posting this video, which is only my opinion. Obviously, it was like David (me) against Goliath. I soon realised it, because it was too suspicious and SO OBVIOUS: the strangely huge amount of LG proxies and fans posting comments on this vid with teeth an claws, defending the laptop and LG as if it were their kid and giving all kind of reasons, some dumber than others, to contradict me was too much and too fishy. People don't bother to write epistles to defend a product, unless it's theirs. Apparently also Youtube has reached the same conclusion, since it has decided to automatically retain those comments (I suppose it algorithm second guesses the objectivity and impartiality of those who write them and rather classifies them as hired trolls). Good thing it has, because I was already starting to be fed up (as if freedom of speech didn't exist, and it does, and I am not saying any lie here, no defamation) so, for once!!!! was going to exert censorship on my channel. In conclusion, this goes to those who try and contradict me here or undermine my freedom of speech in my channel: don't even bother. And bring those repair costs down, and you will avoid a pissed off customer like me, instead of trying to undermine me here.
