With the fourth season of Stranger Things coming, judging from the teaser trailers, it’s evident we’re going to delve further into Eleven’s dark past. Why is it we haven’t learned more until now? We’ve obtained some clues to the past, especially when we met Kali AKA Eight. We know that there were other children there when Eleven was there from the comic books which introduced us to Three, Six, Nine and Nine Point Five. Will we get to meet some of these numbers in season four? One of the teasers shows multiple clues with various numbers appearing, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
Throughout the series we’ve gained specific glimpses into Eleven’s past and some of the trauma she has had to endure. She spent most of her life in solitary confinement and being used and abused by Dr. Brenner. He forced her into spying on a Russian Agent to gain intel and if ever she displeased him, he put her through torturing tests.She also has the guilt of the lives she took to live with, memories that likely haunt her every day. One major key to her past is the question of her family when she was Jane Ives. We’ve met her mother Terry Ives, who managed to communicate enough information for us to learn about what happened when Eleven was kidnapped and how she wound up in such a poor state. Of course, one of the major questions left unanswered is who is Eleven’s biological father? The more we learn about her origins story, the more we are impressed by the resilience Eleven has. We can’t wait to see where her story leads in Season 4!
