Fans of The Witcher know that Eskel is an important piece of the story, so they were disappointed to recently find out that the actor who had been cast in the role, Thue Rasmussen, had to drop out. The COVID-19 pandemic had already pushed back production of season 2, and the change in the schedule meant that Rasmussen couldn’t stay on. No news has dropped yet in regards to recasting the role, and it will clearly take some time, due to COVID protocols.
