A quick look at why I chucked the ME66 for the longer better pick-up ME67. in my opinion it is a wonderful all-in-the-beast. It does my DIALOGUE (even from several feet away)/ ADR/ V.O/FOLLEY/AMBIENCE etc. Some will argue but this is my choice. Take a look and listen to some demo scenes filmed with it.
If you want to see the Whole film called "THE TREE" (a short film by James Sharpe) you will see how it coped with all the tasks.
The ME 66 is still a great mic but the ME67 picks up further away for wider shots, it's a bit bass'ey so it's good to maybe EQ' it in an adobe audition
