Dr Chris Brown travels to Cairns to help out the Marlin Coast Veterinary Hospital. His first patient is a young dog has had a nasty encounter with a hedge cutter. His next patient is a turtle which was found by the side of the road after being hit by a car. Resulting in a massive crack across its shell. At SASH a distressed Cormorant has been brought in with a fish hook stuck in its chest. The emergency team are concerned about how the injured bird will handle the anaesthetic. Meanwhile, specialist surgeon at SASH Dr Steve Fernside is volunteering with a mobile community clinic called Pets in the Park. The charity helps support homeless people and their pets.
