It's hard to deny that the biggest cartoons coming out right now are either from the indie animation scene or have roots in indie animation! Helluva Boss, The Amazing Digital Circus, Hazbin Hotel, Bigtop Burger, Monkey Wrench, this list goes on! People are flocking to YouTube to get their fix on cartoons instead of watching shows from Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon or Disney. Although I’m confident that things will bounce back in the animation industry, I can’t help but wonder…how did this happen? Well, I think a lot of factors from art styles to accessibility lifted indie animation to the top, taking over the crown!
