Come the high heat of summer, tomato plants will drop flowers and even tomatoes due to both high ambient and soil temperatures. Cattle panel is great for trellising and can be used to shade tomato plants come the heat of summer. You may choose to use shade cloth on the panel or even grow beans up them, creating a trellis that provides a bonus of shade.
