Riding on the same ladder frame as the Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series and the new Toyota Prado on which it’s based, the 2024 Lexus GX 550 will be the first to be sold in Australia when it arrives here by mid-2024.

The all-new large off-road luxury SUV will be available in three tech-laden guises, all bringing serious off-road and towing capability, plus a spacious and luxurious interior packed with high-end equipment, for a starting price of around $110,000.

The star of the show will be the hard-core mid-range Overtrail variant, which adds 33-inch all-terrain rubber, a rear diff lock, e-KDSS and other off-road extras, but it lacks seven seats and will limited to only about 250 examples in the first 12 months.
