A man has revealed how you can get a pricey sonic vibration facial at home using a vibrating butt plug – and he’s branded it the ‘sex toy facelift’.

Scott McGlynn, 35, from Cardiff, has spoken of the benefits of sonic vibration to our skin care routine.

But one thing he wasn’t so enamoured with was the price tag, with the latest at-home beauty trend ranging from anywhere between £60-£350.

On a post he shared on his Instagram, which has already had 486 likes and 36,600 views, Scott said: “Facts: Sonic vibration stimulates blood circulation & lymphatic drainage, clears away toxins and enhances the performance of your skincare products.

“Plus helps improves your skin texture, minimise pores, helps clear blemishes and improves fine lines and wrinkles.”

Snubbing a more traditional approach, Scott purchased a £15.99 butt plug from Ann Summers and used the vibrating sex toy on his face along with his skin creams.

“I saw the costs of how much sonic vibration tools are for our facials at home so I thought a butt plug has the same vibration, so why not,” Scott, an actor and presenter of the Celebrity Skin Talk podcast, told NeedtoKnow.online

“The results are unreal – my face felt more hydrated because of the products used, like the moisturiser and serums, are enhanced.

“The sonic vibrations work with the products. Plus, it was plumped and glowing.”

Comments came in thick and fast on Instagram with some users loving it and others not quite so convinced.

“This is genius!!!” commented one person.

“I mean that’s one way to explain your way out of it when your 6 year old finds it,” wrote another person.

“Excuse me while I massage my face with my butt plug. This has brightened up my day! Haha! Love it!” commented another user.

“Thinking outside the box,” someone else said.

But other users revealed they wouldn’t be rubbing a sex toy on their face any time soon.

“Oh my god, this is hilarious! You know you can get actual sonic vibrating face things from Amazon for like £9? Much more entertaining using a butt plug though!” wrote one user.

“Now I have to buy this for…of course my skin,” commented another user.
