Ken Shuttleworth from Make, the mastermind behind the Gherkin building in London, talks about the Bamboo Village Lego Construction Challenge for China's oldest official charity organisation, the China Children Teenage Fund (CCTF).
Make's design is modelled on the most abundantly available material in the region - bamboo. It celebrates the richness and natural beauty of the local area and symbolically expresses shoots of bamboo rising out of the ground. The money raised will enable CCTF to build an environmentally sustainable community using local resources.
CCTF, Make and UBM have partnered to bring this project to fruition. For more information visit: www.ubm.com.
