This video in my MBA application series is all about the ESSAYS. How to brainstorm, what to write and how to highlight your unique story in a very limited word count.

I think the essay portion was one of the most difficult sections to prepare and I took ample time to reflect on my journey and goals to come through in the most authentic and clear way possible.

I will walk through each of the essay prompts for Columbia Business School, and share what I chose to highlight and how I structured each essay. This includes, what my short and long term goals are, how I will contribute to the CBS community, why this school is a good fit, and a last personal question that is very vague and open-ended.

MBA admissions are looking for the true version of your story and goals, so really take the space to convey who you are. You don't need to feel like you have to construct a story that 'fits the mold' because in today's business world, there is no such thing as one way of doing business. I know it's said too often, but being yourself is really the best way to go about the applications.

Please leave any questions or comments below! I will try my best to answer or direct you to resources.
