Beautiful New Design - Vintage Flatware Long Rose Tailed Shrike - Mounted on Elm

I love this piece and am proud to be able to create such a beautiful design using 100% reclaimed materials.

The bird is cleverly created using classic vintage Oneida flatware (and others) to produce an elegant design worthy of any room. A really classy looking bird as well as a talking point of real intrigue. Polished to mirror finish, the bird is mounted on lacquered reclaimed elm to give a rich glossy finish.

This is one of only four I made to this design. The bird can be removed from its perch and fits snugly into the palm of the hand, truly a joy to handle as well as piece of real class.

Approximate weight (boxed): 900 grams
Approximate size: 10”X4”X4”
Material: Stainless Steel.
Mount: Reclaimed Apple Wood

Made from 100% reclaimed materials:

6 Dessert Spoons, 3 Teaspoons, 2 ball bearings, 5 handles, stainless rod, reclaimed apple wood.

Care and Maintenance

Stainless steel is a very durable material containing both nickel and chromium. This makes it highly resistant to tarnish as well as allowing for high levels of finish.

Whilst this Bird will not rust, the natural skin moistures of general handling will reduce its lustre. The bird can be gently buffed with a soft cloth or, to remove light abrasions or tarnish, polished with a suitable metal finishing product.

I recommend 'Autosol' metal polish although both 'Brasso' and 'Silvo' will work. Massage the polish into the surface by hand or using a suitable rotary tool. Buff to a brilliant shine with a clean dry lint free cloth.
