Driver with Four Lifetime Driving Prohibitions Arrested Again

Region of Peel – Officers from the Safer Roads Team (SRT) have arrested a prolific driving offender from Brampton subject to five lifetime driving prohibitions.

Since 2017, 41-year-old Nirmal Singh has been convicted of 35 Criminal Code and 8 Provincial Offence Act (POA) charges including the following:

• Operation While Prohibited (X9)
• Impaired Operation (X2)
• Dangerous Operation (X2)
• Fail to Stop After Accident
• Flight from Police
• Fail to Comply with Release Order (X3)
• Breach of Probation (X3)
• Theft of Motor Vehicle
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (X4)
• Assault (X3)
• Utter Threats (X2)
• ·Mischief (X2)
• Criminal Harassment
• Obstruct Peace Officer

On Thursday, April 11, 2024, SRT officers located Nirmal Singh in Brampton and arrested him on the strength of a Toronto Police Service warrant for:

• Theft of a Motor Vehicle
• Operation While Prohibited (X2)
• Breach of Probation (X6)

He was transferred into the custody of the Toronto Police Service and held pending a bail hearing.
