There's nothing more frustrating than turning on the radio of your Honda only to see a CODE display. When having my 2003 CRV serviced, the mechanic disconnected the battery which triggered the CODE message on the radio. I didn't have the owner's manual or any of the car's original documents.
Luckily, there's a Honda website where owners can locate the radio code, but this requires the serial number. Some Honda dealers will tell you that physically removing the radio is the only way to find the serial number. This is a laborious process and can be avoided by following the procedure I lay out in this video.
