In this video we replace the purge valve on my 2015 Ford Fusion with the 2.0L ecoboost engine. I go over the symptoms associated with what happens when they fail, removal and installation as well. Other common names for this part at fuel tank vent valve, canister purge valve or fuel tank purge valve. These are fairly common parts to replace. Mine first failed around 75k miles and failed again around 162k miles. Part itself is around 50-70 dollars and is fairly simple to replace. The only difficult part is releasing some of the connection points. Very few tools are needed for this job and I highly recommend you try to do this yourself versus paying someone to do it for you.
