Volvo is usually known for it's stealth-wealth appeal, offering fancy tech and luxurious cabins in a more reserved package, but this 2023 Volvo XC60 Recharge plug-in hybrid might just be the ultimate performance sleeper! In today's review we test the Volvo XC60's hybrid powertrain and acceleration while also taking a look at electric driving and the XC60's interior and exterior.

Because at a price of $92,915.00 CAD here in Canada the Volvo XC60 Recharge is anything but cheap. At this price point the Volvo will have to compete with the likes of the BMW X3 and Audi Q5, two very potent German luxury SUVs that also offer PHEV versions. Is the combination of Volvo's Scandinavian luxury and a 455 horsepower powertrain enough to justify the just-shy-of-$100k price tag, or will small details taint the experience like with our previous Volvo test cars?
