Someone requested a tutorial on how to design a "snap-on smile" appliance in Medit ClinicCAD. It's a bit tricky, but it is possible by tricking the software into thinking you are designing a series of splinted/joined crowns. I'm essentially designing splinted/joined eggshell temporaries with a shorter palatal surface.

You will need to mark the palatal margin more cervically than normal (but still not quite equigingival) otherwise Medit ClinicCAD will bug out BIG TIME. You can physically adjust the margin once it's printed, so it's not such a big deal to be honest.

There are very limited tooth libraries but at the very least it is free software and it does work relatively well. The design in the video isn't perfect, but it's just to show proof of the concept.
