On my quest to continue to get video of Horses we don’t see a ton of or we haven’t seen lately. I was out feeding with Janelle and I saw two horses laying in the sun at a distance, and it turned out to be Ghost and Skye. What an adorable couple with that lovely matriarch taking little Skye under her wing and guidance.

Skye was inside her mama Star’s belly when we rescued her and Louisa from a kill pen on Christmas Eve. Both later passed and I’m sure it had to do with a lifetime of neglect but I’m glad both got to enjoy the last chapter of their lives and for Star to leave her baby Skye in good hands must have been a comfort for Star. Skye came up to Oregon to join a herd and it was a learning curve becoming a wild mustang in a herd but to see her today with one of the queens of this herd was true recognition of how well she is doing. She has flourished and found her place and that’s so cool x

I also thing that was Taylor and Swift mama and baby saved from the BLM corrals when baby switch was so sickly we wanted to help her. They have been together since then and Taylor has become a lot less wild and Swift, a blue roan Appaloosa, is such a sweet girl.

Then there’s handsome Phoenix and Old Lady Leigh and Little Girl too who is now back out with her herd after having eye ulcers. Just a quick snapshot of these guys horizontal for Patreon and hope you enjoy seeing some lesser seen horses. Colorado was also back in the trees xxx
