The movies Lost in Translation (2003) and Her (2013) both won the academy award for best original screenplay. These movies, now considered classics, are written and directed by Sofia Coppola and Spike Jonze, respectively. These talented writer-directors married in 1999 but separated in 2003. Some say that these movies are their final love letters for each other. But who could say that for certain? Nevertheless, both movies explore themes of love - how one falls for another and somewhere in between...how one falls out of love...and how one finds love, again.
