Using a notebook for over a decade literally more than I use my phone has made me test, validate, pivot, and keep testing dozens of page executions that enable me to yield the results I strive towards - both for myself, as well as my clients for both Corporate Video Production, as well as the Metal Fabrication small businesses.

A notebook is best used to tackle non-linear plans - after all, if it were a linear process to plan, typing out a bullet point-form document makes sense. But when there are too many unknowns as a starting point, putting pen to paper with a notebook is the most free-flowing and effective way to wrap our brains around a new challenge.

I've used Travelers Company notebooks. The Travelers Factory is a Japanese stationery company and the reason I love the Travelers Notebooks so much is because of how customizable they are.

At the end of the day, a notebook and pens are just tools - how you use them is the real differentiator. For me, notebooks are unequivocally the best constant in my life for work, productivity, goal tracking, and brainstorming, but if you don't jive with notebooks at all, I'd LOVE to know what YOU use to get things done effectively!

My Travelers Notebook is THE most constant item in my everyday carry. I don't think adding a notebook to your EDC makes sense if you won't use it, but at the same time, I think using a notebook is the best way to gain clarity and plan quickly.
