Compact MPVs like the Toyota Innova are among Toyota Motor Philippines' best-selling models.

Toyota's IMV platform powers the Innova, along with the Fortuner and Hilux. The lasting MPV is powered by a 2.8-liter Euro 4 diesel engine that produces 171 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque for automatic vehicles and 168 horsepower and 343 Nm of torque for manual variants.

The Innova's leading-trailing drum brakes in the back and ventilated disc brakes up front provide stopping capability. The MPV has a double-wishbone suspension system with independent coil springs and stabilizers for the front and a 4-link coil spring system for the rear. Rack and Pinion Power steering provides the steering. The Innova still uses the outdated Hydraulic Power Steering technology and does not employ Electric Power Steering (EPS) like its rivals.

The updated suspension on the Innova has also improved the ride quality. There is a caution, though, that the new suspension system may be too mushy and floaty for certain individuals. All things considered; the new suspension system is a clear upgrade over the previous model.

The Innova V and G models include a 7-inch touchscreen system with a 6-speaker audio system and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 6.75-inch screen on the E model, on the other hand, is marginally smaller but nonetheless offers the same features as the bigger infotainment system. In contrast to the rest of the range, the J version has fewer speakers and a more basic 2-DIN radio with many audio features like CD, AM, FM, Bluetooth, USB, and auxiliary. Finally, push-start ignition and automated temperature control are added to the V and G models of the Innova

Intermittent wipers with time adjusters and a mist function are standard on the V and G models. All variants come equipped with a rear wiper as standard, despite its lack of intermittent functionality. The E and J standard model's wipers are intermittent and mist-only.

The V variation of the Toyota Innova has LED projector-style headlamps with clearance lamps, whereas the other models in the lineup have multi-reflector halogen headlights. The J variation of the range only has halogen fog lights, whereas the V-spec Innova has LED fog and driving lamp lights.

17-inch alloy wheels and 215/55/R17 tires are seen on the top Innova model which is the V variant. 205/65/R16 alloy wheels, however, are fitted to the G to E variants. 205/65 tires and 16-inch steel wheels are fitted on the Innova's Base model J variant.

SAFETY
Airbags for the driver and passenger as well as side and curtain shield airbags are among the safety features of the Toyota Innova. The extra benefit of a knee airbag is also enjoyed by the driver. The MPV also has vehicle stability control, hill-start assist, and an emergency stop signal in addition to airbags. For all versions, including EBD, ABS is also included as standard equipment.

There are plenty of seatbelts in the Innova since the second row of seats has ISOFIX tethers for child seats in addition to 3-point seatbelts. The same frontal treatment is likewise given to the driver and front passenger. Every rear passenger in the third row has a 3-point seatbelt as standard equipment. All models in the portfolio come equipped with side impact beams as a passive safety measure. The MPV's G and V models include backup sensors. The car also has an immobilizer and a security system installed. Regretfully, these features are not standard on the other models in the lineup.
