Installing a custom iron Drive gate. It’s equipped with 4“ x 4“ post with chaps those poster set 4 feet deep. Attached to the post is a seven eights adjustable bearing hinge. Jens has a grease CERT. It should be greased annually to prevent extra drag, and wear and tear on your gate operator.

The gate itself is an iron gate that we custom built at our shop. It has a 6 to 7 foot height arch in it. This one is what they call 1 foot march. It is a single rail arch. The gate is attached to a LiftMaster LA 400 that will come with two remotes and an outside keypad. LiftMaster is also equipped with the myQ system, which allows you to download the LiftMaster app and open your gate from any location. It’s great to be able to allow service people into your yard while you’re not at home.

Because the yard is not level, we will have to create step downs in the yard. On top of those steps will be a western red cedar top cap. The top cap is accompanied with a one by four and one by to trim underneath the top cap, we use the postmaster fence post here on this installation we have been installing them for over 20 years. This board does a lot to preserve the fence by getting the soft wood cedar off of the ground. On the finish side of the fence you shall see 3 to 4 inches of the footer below the fence. Here is another great that’s built in the city of Fort Worth by great, fencing company, DFW Fence Contractor
