What does karate teach a little girl? “Maybe the biggest lesson for me,” says Elena Chiru, Channel Marketing Manager in Romania, “Was about balancing determination, winning and assertiveness with nurturing, empathy and connection – what people call the male and female sides. My Dad was a great teacher in this but so were the kids I taught as part of my karate training”.
