When Walt Disney was planning his original theme park - Mickey Mouse Park - a central idea was for his many beloved characters to roam the park, available for children and adults to meet and greet. When Disneyland was finally open, that sentiment was still there: several of Walt Disney's characters were  occasionally at the park: but there was only one problem. The early costumes were terrible and nightmare inducing. Why were they so bad, and what have the different costume evolutions looked like since then?
