Showing my method for flattening the bottom of the bowl using self-adhesive sandpaper on a flat surface. Having a flat surface is key for this, I'm lucky because I have a cast iron machinist table. The most important tip I can give for sanding and flattening a wooden bowl is to walk it on the sandpaper, as I show in this video. This technique will prevent you from getting a convex bottom, and keep it completely flat.
