This past week, everyone in Vancouver has been feeling the effects of our first heavy snowfall of this winter. YVR especially has been dealt a large blow when it comes to dealing with the changing weather conditions. This past week, we have experienced over 200 cancellations and delays due to the heavy snowfall and extreme cold.

Without a doubt, spotting in the snow is truly amazing, but, this Christmas, my heart goes out to all those who have either been stranded a their destination or here in Vancouver due to cancelled or delayed flights. All those whose vacation plans have been kiboshed or rearranged due to the weather.

On a happier note, As 2022 draws to a close, A huge thanks to everyone for an amazing year of aviation and support for my channel. I am happy to report that because of everyone's support, the YVRgopher family has grown by over 300 subscribers on Youtube this year and over 13,000 people on Instagram. A Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah to everyone who celebrates!

YVRgopher originally started as a school math project in May, 2020. Over the course of the pandemic, plane spotting has become a passion and a hobby of mine.
