British Columbia is now looking into the possibility of imposing an interprovincial travel ban to slow the spread of COVID-19.

While officials say the curve appears to be flattening in the province, there were still 509 new cases reported on Friday and nine deaths. As Julia Foy reports, some experts say the plan may not be feasible or legal.

The situation is different in Alberta, where the province announced last week that starting Monday, there would be a loosening of some measures. Outdoor gatherings will be allowed once again, and personal services like hair salons will be able to start taking appointments.

On Sunday, the province reported an additional 750 new cases and 19 deaths. As Heather Yourex-West reports, doctors warn that even with the province loosening measures, hospitals remain at critical capacity.
