This video will cover the basic structure involved in producing an ovum. We will look at the process of gametogenesis in females and how an ovum is produce from beginning to end. This video will NOT cover the menstrual cycle as that will be in a follow up video. Along with the formation of an ovum we look at the hormones oestrogen and progesterone and their influence on the ovarian cycle.
