The etron app works at Tesco PodPoint for free AC charging. The Octopus app does not but you can use PodPoint app or website. No apps necessary at Instavolt - bank card payment works. Gridserve take bank cards. Ionity take bank cards. In fact most new rapid chargers will take bank cards, but can be different pricing to app users, account holders and subscribers.
