The African Farmers' Association of South Africa says it is concerned about the planned shutdown of the Lesotho Highlands Tunnel for maintenance. The association says it appreciates the efforts made by government to maintain the water infrastructure. However, it pleaded for the work to be completed within the timeframe and that mechanisms are put in place to mitigate a possible water shortage.
