War is hazardous by its very nature, with life and limb constantly at risk due to enemy action. Sometimes, however, it is not the enemy that is the danger. Occasionally, whether through circumstance, incompetence, or just plain bad luck, some soldiers find themselves in life-threatening situations purely by accident.
