The metal sheet used in this video is nickel and not iron as some may have thought. I used Nickel because this metal, in addition to being magnetic, has a low Curie point of 347 degrees centigrade.
The Curie temperature, or Curie point, is the temperature above which some materials lose their permanent magnetic properties.

Thanks to supermagnete.com for providing me with the magnets for free. Here are the magnets used in this video
Death Magnet https://sumag.net/limited-edition-x01

In this video I used the Death Magnet because I particularly love this super magnet, but to replicate this experiment you can use magnets of any shape, even smaller than this one.

First Curie Engine experiment
The flame heats an area of the nickel sheet which loses its magnetic properties, the symmetrical area, not subjected to heating, maintains its magnetic properties, this induces the rotation of the motor.

the second and third experiments are 2 variations of Curie's pendulum
in the second experiment the piece of nickel loses its magnetic properties when it is on the flame and regains them when it comes back
in the third experiment the 2 pieces of nickel lose and regain their magnetic properties alternately generating the pendulum movement.

On my channel you will find all the ways to have fun with magnets divided into 3 main categories:

Classical magnetic experiments such as magnetic levitation, homopolar motors, small magnetic weapons, Gauss cannons, gears, magnetic field viewers and much more.

Satisfaction video like the construction of magnetic sculptures, slime and magnetic putty and product review.

ASMR relaxing videos to watch but above all to listen preferably with stereo headphones to be able to appreciate the particular sounds of the magnets

About Magnetic Games:
All ways to have fun with magnets.

The magnetism has always intrigued me. The strength of the magnets is scientifically explainable but there's something "magical" about its interaction with the world. My Channel offers you curious experiments and fun games to do with magnets.
