In this video I do a tutorial of how to use the Bitcoin Lightning Network with Ride the Lightning (RTL) on Umbrel Raspberry Pi Full Node.

We go through opening and closing channels, making lightning payments, how to determine the size of your lightning channel, how to rebalance your lightning channels using Boltz or Loops lightning submarine swaps, the general UI features of Ride the Lightning, and then finally how to change your lightning network alias.

Ride the Lightning and other apps on Umbrel can be a little finicky, but it’s helpful that there are lots of apps like ThunderHub, Lightning Terminal, and Ride the Lightning.

EDIT 2/15/2021: RTL Reached out to me on Twitter about the error from this video. It has been fixed and they are waiting for Umbrel to upload the latest version of the RTL app to the app store!
