Toyota is expanding it's popular TRD (Toyota Racing Development) line-up of higher performing vehicles, from models like Tundra TRD and Tacoma TRD Pro to its sedans, Camry and Avalon.

This is a first for Toyota, whose previous use of the TRD badging on it's cars was usually reserved for just appearance packages.

The Toyota Camry TRD has the following upgrades/key features:
- TRD body kit, including a front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, and high-rise rear wing
- TRD 19-inch wheels which are 0.5" wider with 5mm lower offset and 235/40R19 tires
- TRD lowering springs which have a 15mm drop. TRD Spring rates are 10% stiffer in front and 15% stiffer in the rear
- TRD shocks with firmer valving
- TRD sway bars 27mm diameter solid bars.
- TRD performance cat-back exhaust
- TRD front brake upgrade (2 piston calipers, 12.9" rotors)
- TRD black/red interior trimming with red gauges
- Based on lighter Camry SE platform, no sunroof
- Cheapest way to get a V6 Camry, priced from $31,000
- Production limited to about 6000 units

Sounds interesting, but is it any good, and should you buy it?
