Islamorada is located about 16 miles south of Key Largo. If you travel by car, that's about 30 minutes. Islamorada offers a lot of different snorkel locations. We thought it would be a good idea to share our Top 3 shallow reefs. We snorkelers just love shallow reefs, right? Well, we do! Ranging between 8 and 20 feet in depth, these locations should be great for most of our viewers.

The first location we'd recommend (which actually is our favorite) is called Alligator Reef. No, you won't find any alligators, so don't worry. Snorkeling below the lighthouse is definitely worth it. However, you need to join a boat tour (which is the case with all of these 3 shallow snorkel locations).

Another option is to snorkel at Cheeca Rocks. The water could be a little greener, but but the marine life is vibrant.

Our third suggestion is to visit Hen and Chickens. Our video shows you its location on a map and where to find it. Boat tours will take you to this reef.

The marine life is definitely appealing. If you love to snorkel with sea turtles, you'll probably be in luck. Nurse sharks could be present as well, just like barracuda, parrotfish, angelfish and many more.

If you ever make it to this location, enjoy yoru adventure. The Florida Keys offer some amazing snorkel spots, so feel free to visit our website and discover some of our favorites.

Now, enjoy the video and who knows we'll welcome you on our website.

Kind Regards,

Martin & Kaya
