I have both men and women cheering me on, on several platforms and following along on my page with all my varied content. Today I want to share you a video I made in a new format about menopause. I think it's important that there's more education about the menopause for women and men.

Women are always looking for ways to cope with the changes associated with menopause. A lot of companies and trainers take advantage of their desperation. I lost 31lbs through intermittent fasting, I then got back in shape through jumprope and kettlebells exercises. Follow me for more tips and advice, showing how I got back in shape and found myself again in midlife.

The takeaway from this, is that male fitness influencers and trainers talk about working out and eating right, but menopause is a psychological shift too. Firstly women lose their ability to have children, which in one way is a blessing, but in another way there can be a great sense of loss. The loss of hormones can completely change your personality, and of course your body, which changes (what seems like) overnight.

James Smith (in the video) recognises that women have lost essential hormones and says that it may be a good idea to consider hormone replacement therapy. I totally agree. Some women sail through menopause, barely noticing any changes, others suffer with countless side effects of losing Estrogen and Progesterone.

This is the first time I've tried this style of video. I film everything on my iPhone and edit is using an app. I'm learning new techniques all the time. I think it's important that there are 50+ women (like me) sharing their stories and experience, as we do appear to become invisible once we hit 50.

I am going to make more videos about a range of subjects, mainly related to health, nutrition and fitness. Let me know in the comments what you think about this style. I want to keep this platform varied and interesting.
