MATTHEW PEARCE CMIOSH MIFSM
A Chartered Health and Safety manager for Skanska building with 16 years’ relevant experience and many more working within the construction trade industry. Matthew has been employed by Skanska Building for
the last 12 years overseeing the principal contractor role, supporting several major and complex high-rise construction projects.
Aside to Matthew’s health and safety role he has a keen interest in fire safety,
achieving the CHSG diploma in fire risk management and construction fire risk assessment. Matthew has been advocating the need for improved fire safety standards within the business and chairs the fire safety in construction steering group. This aims to keep abreast of legislative and relevant guidance changes and the implementation of improved fire safety and preventative standards during the construction phase

ANDY LACK BSC (HONS), GRADIOSH, MIFSM
Andy has been working as a H&S professional in the construction sector with over 10 years’ experience. He is currently the H&S lead at Skanska’s 20 -22
Ropemaker St (25 storey high rise construction project) In Moorgate, London.
Andy has a passion for effective fire safety management not only on a
day-to-day basis but has been instrumental to revising Skanska’s existing
fire management processes and procedures. He sits alongside Matthew in
Skanska’s Fire Safety in Construction Steering Group and is also involved in
the implementation of the Building Safety Act (BSA) chaired by Gary Neal
within Skanska.
